The Clarendon Restaurant
209 Clarendon Street
South Melbourne, 3205
For so long it was the southside’s best kept secret, but the strength of South Melbourne’s dining scene is well and truly out of the bag. These three spots have a lot to do with why.
First up, it’s a glass of something delicious and Victorian and a matching bite at The Clarendon Hotel: a flash neighbourhood pub turning heads with an Asian-inspired menu put togehter by ex-Vue de Monde chef, Ryan Spurrell.
Next, it’s Park Street Pasta and Wine, where your linguine dances with the likes of arrow squid and cherry tomatoes, and your glass sings with a King Valley pinot gris.
Finally, it’s off to Cheesetown - population: blue - at Casa de Vinos, where a selection of three cheeses, a petit gâteaux, Yuzu highballs and excellent brandy awaits.
