This excellent day out begins at Messmates Dining with a filter coffee from Small Batch and a house-baked pastry. A chauffeur service will take guests through the rolling hills of Gippsland to Five Tales Farm in the foothills of Piedmont Valley, surrounded by temperate rainforest, river and pasture.

After a tour of the farm, a long lunch by the river among the gum trees with a hyperseasonal menu focusing on produce from the farm cooked by Messmates co-head chefs Jodie Odrowaz and Michael Clark. Lunch will be accompanied by matched wines from the region from the likes of William Downie and Ryan Ponsford from Entropy.
