We simply think of her as one of Australia's most engaging food talents, a person who enthralled Sydney with her take on Italian food at Berta before switching seamlessly into the food of her Sri Lankan heritage at her own restaurant, Lankan Filling Station.

Embla is about to get a whole lot more coconut and curry leaf action than it's used to as O Tama Carey joins chef and co-owner Dave Verheul at the fire for a Sunday lunch that has been years in the making.

"Long Sunday lunches are the best and so is Embla and so is Dave," Tama says, "which makes me very excited about the prospect of cooking together."
