We all know that cheese that isn't yours is nacho cheese. But a six-course cheese degustation at one of Gippsland's premier restaurants? Why, that sounds like a dairy good time.

Acclaimed Gippsland restaurant Hogget Kitchen teams up with Mould – A Cheese Festival, to present a cheese feast for the curd nerds in the house.

What's on the menu? The best of Gippsland cheese, of course, worked into a long, lazy lunch. Chef Trevor Perkins and the team are highlighting a different Gippsland cheesemaker in each course – Prom Country Cheese, Berrys Creek, Maffra, Tarago River and Butterfly Factory among them. You'll be handed a glass of bubbles on arrival, with the option to keep it flowing local and delicious throughout lunch with an all-Gippsland wine pairing.

If you love cheese, love food and love wine, and you love enjoying it all in a gorgeous space, this is the one for you. You'll have the opportunity to speak with cheese-makers themselves, and the chance to buy directly from them after your dessert course, all while enjoying the views and food at one of Gippsland's best-loved restaurants.
