Some of Melbourne's most innovative chefs and Victorian winemakers are coming together for an evening devoted to bread. Held in a 100-year-old former church in Fitzroy North, discover the history of bread, how it is used, and the stories of why each course is so special to each chef.
Those chefs include Almay Jordaan (Old Palm Liquor); Dwi Ayu (Pastuso); Boris Portnoy (Gray and Gray); James Cornwall (Bonny); Davide Bonadiman (Al Dente Enoteca); Julian Hills (Restaurant Navi); and Zoe Birch (Greasy Zoe’s). Each course will be bread-themed or bread-based, including a sourdough ice-cream with bread caramel and sourdough brittle. The event will be hosted by MasterChef judge Sofia Levin and Jay Bessel.
